Will these drinks/ additives break your fast or mess with your intermittent fasting? Even though they have no calories they still mess with your hormones that control your blood sugar if I’m not mistaken. What are your thoughts?

These have artificial sweeteners which will break a fast. Dirty fasting will still result in weight loss, but not as fast and it cuts out all other health benefits caused by fasting. As someone that started dirty fasting, the difference in how fast the weight came off, how few cravings I had and how much better I felt when I switched to clean fasting was night and day.

Water, unsweetened tea or black coffee only for best results not just weight loss wise but it’ll affect how you feel as well.

This topic of artificial sweeteners is one of the MOST EVIL SCAMS in the American food industry.

They market sodas, drinks, and food as sugar free and low carb, but the artificial sweeteners they replace them with can be significantly worse. If you do your research on them you will find that many people report that these sweeteners don’t impact blood sugar, but the real issue is INSULIN release caused but these chemicals without the glucose to follow, and this leads to INSULIN RESISTANCE, obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. Blood sugar and Insulin release are separate issues, but the problem is we can’t test insulin at home.

From what I’ve found many of these sweeteners in fact will spike insulin. One of my most demoralizing discoveries was on ASPARTAME. When tested alone it doesn’t spike insulin, but when combined with ACESULFAME POTASIUM (ACE-K) like in Coke Zero (my fav) it does :( One of the worst sweeteners that is used everywhere and causes an insulin release is MALTODEXTRIN and get this…It’s used in TONS of VITAMINS like EmergenC (another fav of mine). Do your research and read labels. They use dozens to swindle people down the road of profit.

Anyone can lose weight on IF because you are reversing insulin resistance, but a sustainable healthy lifestyle must be and educated one on how you fuel you body and the hormonal chain reactions caused by these fuels. Unfortunately, the American food conglomerates don’t give a shit about you and you must not fall for their greedy schemes because your life depends on it.
