Looking at a tub of peanuts it’s clear to see that 10,000 calories worth could easily be consumed in a single sitting.
What happens to the human body after such a thing?
10,000 calories gained? Most not utilised and pass through the body? Something else?

You will shit everything out, even your soul. I can attest as I once got stoned in the late evening and binged on a godly amount of almonds, peanuts, and pistachio. The next morning I experienced one of the most savage defecation events of my entire life.
Your body does its best to save every calorie you give it, but I’m pretty sure you would notice a change in your stool and bowel movements the next time you go. Most would be stored, but I do believe there is a limit to what the body can ‘capture’ so to speak. I’m not sure if anyone knows the hard limit to what a body can absorb, and considering the differences we all have it probably is an impossible question to answer. Still, I’m sure out there there is some nutritional data scientist that has a good idea of averages to answer this question…hope I see the answer in the comments!
There are a couple things that could happen:
I eat tons of nuts, I buy four or five 1kg bags of different types on Amazon (so pricey in supermarket), make my own mix (probably around 1kg mixed nuts) then polish them off over a few days to week. Probably very caloric yet my weight doesn’t go up. Yet if I increase my carbs by a bit (potatoes, bread..etc) weight goes up pretty quickly.
