10 Day Fast Tips

Hey all! I’m starting a ten day fast on Friday Night, planning on going till the next Monday~

I think it’ll be fairly easy, I recently started a job at an after school program, so from 7am to 5 or 6 on most days I’ll be occupied, then going to bed early at 9 will only leave me three hours to think about food on the days I don’t have my second job.

I am very excited, but was wondering if y’all had any tips? Especially about diet sodas. I am obv going to drink water, and got electrolytes to add from Amazon (it was called fasting salt). Will diet sodas hurt? I like drinking diet ginger ale while playing video games at night.

Quick thoughts:

  1. Some people get an insulin response from artificial sweeteners. Insulin can make fasting much more difficult. Perhaps seltzer instead?
  2. Many people get insomnia after fasting for a few days. You may be short on sleep during your work week.
  3. Starting Friday is good, as the first few days are toughest.
