14 day fast

Going for a 14 day fast. About 24 hours in and am seeing posts about snake juice and electrolytes. What is it? And when should I start taking it? I’ve done fasts before without it and it was bad wondering if this could help.

Answer

The key is salt. Snake juice gives me nausea (mostly due to the magnesium). I’d take a least a tsp of salt (diluted in water) daily. Basically most of the water you drink should have some salt in it.

You haven’t done any research and it sounds like you’ve never fasted before. This is a recipe for failure as you’re jumping into a long fast and putting your health in danger as electrolytes are crucial to your body.

Answer

i don’t drink snake juice, but i do put whatever salt i have on hand in my water if i feel shaky. i am doing my first fast past 3 days & plan to supplement with RESET for extended fasting which hopefully has everything needed (i personally havent used anything for 3 days and under fasting but past that you need to have your electroylytes pretty well sorted, for 14 days you def wanna be prepared). i always drink apple cider vinegar with a little lemon throughout the day when i fast & teas as well. i also have taken epson salt baths before too for the magnesium and calming it promotes before bedtime…i believe (could be wrong) it is the lack of electrolytes that can cause refeeding syndrome (can be deadly) once you go back to food so it’s def very important…good luck on your fast!
