I’ve dabbled in rolling fasts, day-on-day-off fasts, occasional 48/72 hour fasts. Most have left me feeling weak and fixating on food even with electrolytes etc. I’m blown away how much more functional I am through 18/6 system. I’m sure everyone is different but if you’re struggling with extended fasts, maybe give it a try. I’m 30yo 135lb 5’5”, I lift a lot and have low iron are factors I’m sure.
I see you are in a very very good condition! Low iron and super 18/6 per day fasting also do periodically 2-3 times per year blood measure for specific bio markers and everything’s going to be alright!
I wish I could stay on a very strict schedule like this… But when it’s time to eat and I’m not hungry, I just don’t want to do it. Part of my problem besides emotional eating was “habit eating“… So I really need the flexibility of the rolling system.
That’s not to say that I don’t think a set schedule is a good idea: quite the contrary!
