23h dry fasting and 1h water

Hello,

has anyone ever tried something like this:

Daily 23h dry fasting and 1h water fasting with electrolytes. No food intake.

And the whole thing over a week or two weeks.

Is there already a name for this kind of fasting and is this fasting suitable for a longer period of time? Or is it rather unhealthy?

I’m wondering why you’re doing this? I guess it is so you can go longer, but if fasting for a longer period of time is important to you then maybe just do a water fast. Although there are some benefits to short dry fasts, it seems you won’t get the benefits of a long dry fast doing it this way and you will also put a lot of strain on your body.

As the other poster mentioned it seems like a good way of messing up your electrolytes doing it this way so make sure you keep an eye on your heart rate.

I don’t think you need to worry about the body not getting electrolytes during a fast. I did 3-4 day dry fasts, even 20+ days in the past. Never took in electrolytes & was just fine.

BTW. your basically just doing a water fast + dry intermittent fast. I never heard of anyone doing it but I don’t see any issues here.
