I think I’m in hour 22, but not sure if it’s considered clean?
My last meal was yesterday at 12:30 pm–I did have half of a small coffee at dunkin donuts with one creamer @ 4:30 pm but nothing in between my meal or until now (\~10:30 am)
It’s really not as hard as I thought it was going to be! I typically do 18:6 and find it difficult when I eat later at night and have to wait until 2ish pm to eat. I think I am going to start doing one or two 24 hours and scale back to 16:8 most days.
I have lost 10 pounds since early September. It really melted off in the beginning and now I don’t see as much progress but I’m not going to revert. I do find IF as a more effective way to stay in a deficit vs tracking everything I eat on an app. That was brutal!
The only thing I dislike about dirty fasting is that you don’t get those hormones that only come out 12 hours after your last insulin trigger, the ones that switch to burning fat rather than glucose, start autophagy, and protect your muscles from the body consuming them as fuel instead. Dirty fasting is more CICO than fasting.
