I believe I caught COVID around Jan 1st this year. I had a fever for around 3 days, headache, cough, vomiting. The fever broke and I started to slowly feel better every day.
I started to feel back to normal about the 10th.
The strange thing is that I have woken up every night since the 1st absolutely drenched in sweat. I was getting concerned since I had considered myself recovered for 10 days.
Yesterday I experimented by fasting for 24hrs. Water and coffee only.
This morning I woke up, sleeping well all night, with no sweat.
Any idea why this worked?
I am not 100% confident it was COVID, but definitely a nasty bug of some kind.
Thanks!
I know some people with long covid do get night sweats so that’d definitely a possibility. There are many people with long covid that have posted here about fasting to help alleviate those symptoms so it is possible that fasting does help somehow.
As to why it helps? Likely something to do with hormone regulation.
