Answer

It doesn’t seem to impact mine, but there are women who fast based on their cycle based on Mindy Pelz.

Quick summary, from what I’ve seen online (I haven’t personally read her stuff myself), set your fasts during lower hormonal impact times. So what I’ve seen postulated is (on a 28 day cycle) from Day 1-10 of your cycle, you can fast (extended fasts are ok). Days 11-15 only do moderate fasting (such as intermittent fasting - do NOT do extended fasts), Days 16-20, can do extended fasts, Days 21-28 no fasting, eat lots of healthy fats (avocado, animal fats, etc.), and rest.

Day 1 is the start of your period.

I have not done this myself nor done any research but I’m about to dive into it and play around with it and see how it goes.

Good luck!

Answer

My cycles haven’t changed from fasting - they are surprisingly normal; 28 days on average, I do not use BC.

Folks say that fasting is easier in the first half of the cycle, and more difficult closer to menses. For me I fast easier closer to menses 🤷🏻‍♀️
