3 single day fasts vs. a 56hr fast per week?

I currently water/coffee fast M/W/F for stretches of about 32-34hrs each. I don’t find the fasts difficult but I think I overcompensate on my eating days - especially with so many post-fast days.

Has anyone had a schedule like this and seen positive results by switching to an extended single fast each week? In my case I’d be looking at a single 56hr fast.

I have recently started doing 40:8s. It is at least as good as straight fasting, though I am eating keto. Dropping weight like mad, finally

Try less carbs when eating?

My ketones are at 1.9 and I’m only on hour 30. This usually takes me 80hrs.

So you eat as an example, at 8 PM at Monday then at noon at Wednesday, and then last meal at 8 PM of that day and repeat? When you say keto, can you tell me like how much you eat and what kind of keto, please.

It could be worthwhile to count your calories on feasting days so you know with more certainty whether you’re overdoing it. I thought I was, but on counting my calories, I didn’t get anywhere close to my TDEE most days.

How long have you been on this schedule? It took me 2-4 weeks of rolling ~48s to not gorge myself every meal (3 meals per week).

I still sometimes allow myself to gorge because I’m eating so few calories on average that it doesn’t matter in the long run (I’m on track to be done 2-3 weeks before my goal date), but I do eat quite a bit less than my standard meals while gorging (60-70%) and I feel full around 40-50% of the way to feeling gorged and can stop if I want to. I’m only comparing biweekly buffet lunch with my friend. My standard meals are normal portion, maybe a small amount of seconds and I don’t snack or finish my fiancee and daughter’s plate like I used to.
