4 days fasting - 3 day OMAD

Hi I am thinking about doing Monday- Thursday fasted (just coffee and water) and then eating OMAD possibly 2MAD Friday - Sunday (6hr window). Of course to lose a lot of fat but also for the autophogy and to clean up my skin.

Does anyone have experience of this or advice please?

I do omad 4 days a week and a 72 hour fast so maybe I can chime in a little.

I’m not fat, currently 14% bf so I’ll be stopping this once I get close to 10%.

My advice is to make sure you monitor how much you eat. Everyone is different on omad, its not the end of the world if you did overeat since you’ll make up for it easily, but try to avoid going too crazy on omad days.

Another problem I found is potential bloating. Yes you feel full when full, but you shouldn’t be bloating. This could be due to your body not producing enough bile to digest your food. Apparently apple cider vinegar or lemon can help.

I might also add that you should preferably be fat adapted, keto diet type of thing. Or at the very least, low carbs, or fasting days will be quite horrible.

Apart from that, I find it quite easy and enjoyable.

Answer

do you normally have coffee on an empty stomach? some can do that but some feel like absolite ass and might be nausea and shakiness, so if you haven’t tried it before do it on your day off to make sure your stomach can handle that.
