I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and realized that stress is my trigger. I gained 4 lbs in 4 days. This is the first time the scale actually moved significantly in the positive direction. I’ve been loosing or maintaining for the last couple of months and I’m proud of the work I’ve done. But I just realized that I too can fall into the trap of yo-yo—ing behavior and eating to soothe my emotions.
How do you guys have the will power to fast while facing challenges in ur life? How do you not emotionally eat when emotions are overwhelming? What part of your discipline are you enabling when times get tough?
It’s the holidays. If you didn’t put on 4 pounds you aren’t doing it right.
How to keep the right attitude? Just remember how easy this diet is. If you’ve dropped pounds with this plan, you know that you can do it again. You already discovered the secret. Yo-yoing is fine every now and then. You’ll always have extra pounds that come and go no matter how close you get to your goal, or how long ago you reached it.
Keep steady, don’t do anything drastic. Only when you adhere strictly for a while and don’t see any positive effect do you need to rethink your plan. If you change things up too often, you won’t be able to determine what is and isn’t good for you.
This seems like a dangerous post teetering on the community guidelines. You would need to maintain your current eating habits for weeks to keep that weight on. 4 pounds is a completely regular fluctuation of weight. fasting is most beneficial with regular exercise because then you can really understand the ebb and flow of your body. The number on the scale is about the last thing people should look toward when defining overall health. Use fasting like a tool in your toolkit, not a one stop shop for a healthy body. If the fluctuation of your weight is taking over your psyche please seek assistance from a qualified professional.
