40days water fast/ 3 days dry fast.

Hello everyone, I need advice. I started my water fast journey about two weeks ago. My starting weight was 360 pounds, I’m now 342 pounds. I want to incorporate multiple 3 days dry fast within my 40 days fast. Is that alright and with the 3 days, how many pounds am I looking at? I want to be around 250 by April.

Answer

G’day, I second that it’s not advisable. The advice here is that wet to dry is too much stress on the body, but dry to wet is OK.

What has been your rolling 3-day or 5-day average for daily weight loss?

After 10 days I begin to look at 3-day rolling averages as a pretty linear number. Rolling 5-day is more accurate, but that shows you your realistic daily weight loss.

I don’t do water into dry. I use dry to begin water fasts because it seems to accelerate my transition from feeling awful to feeling great.

Answer

Water fasting messes with your electrolytes balance. DO NOT dry fast after being in water fasting state, it can potentially be dangerous at times.

You can do vice versa on your next fast as in start with dry fast and go as long as you can and then convert to water fast when you can’t go any longer.

Best of luck.

Answer

Dry to wet is the route here. As for shedding pounds everyone is different but my experience is I’m loosing around 10lbs after a 160hra of dry. Which sounds a lot but keep in mind that you’ll regain some weight (in my case it’s ≈ 6lbs) after starting drinking water.
