Hey everyone, I have been doing the 16:8 very regularly lately, stop eating at 19:00 until 13:00 the day after. I love it, but whenever I break the fast, I feel really lethargic immediately after. I have an office job so my lunch and dinner time are scheduled very regularly. I often have a nice salad, with plenty of leafy greens, fresh vegetables and lean proteins. As a dressing I use a tablespoon of olive oil. I am trying to reduce my portions but still don’t feel any better after lunch. Any suggestions?
Have you tried changing your fasting window? Are you getting enough calories? Are you sleeping well? I’m just trying to go through a mental list of all possible things that could make you feel lethargic. You’re not eating carbs, as per your meal description, so it’s not your food choices. Have you tried splitting the meal in two? Eating half of it at 13:00 and the other half a bit later? I feel that way sometimes too, and I don’t eat carbs either. I find that if I don’t eat enough fats in my meals, my energy slumps.
