48 hour fast

I am about to begin a 48 hour fast, because of a big event that I have this weekend. Any tips to suppress my appetite? I feel like I am constantly thinking about food. I’ve done fasts in the past but I’m worried about cravings this time around. Any and all advice welcome.

I’m new to fasting but some things that I’ve been doing are:

Drinking a gallon of water per day

Drinking plenty of other non calorie fluids like tea, Mio, and carbonated water

Staying busy with activities like cleaning or playing an instrument

and although it’s not in line with a true water fast I’ve been drinking broth at meal times

Water helps a lot.

I have also brushed my teeth any time I felt like eating. For me, if I have clean teeth and minty breath, I dont want to ruin it by eating afterwards.

One of the previous comments mentioned to drink broth. That could be an option but it does have sodium so it may make you look and feel bloated. If you can find a broth with low sodium, go for it.
