5 Day Fast & Weight Training

I would like some advice on whether it is a good idea to weight train whilst I am on a 5 day water fast.

I usually train 4-5 times a week followed by cardio.

What would be suitable or should I simply just not work out at all.

Just be prepared for your workouts to begin to suck pretty royally after about the 48 hour mark. Anything requiring significant power and explosiveness as far as lifts will suffer.

So long as you are not interested in actual performance and are just wanting a workout, it’s all good.

Though please BE FUCKING CAREFUL. You are not going to be able to rely on your capabilities like you normally would. Save going balls out or trying to PR some oly lift for times when your body has fuel

Definitely work out. Don’t go to your max or probably above a weight that you can do a set of 5 comfortably. Sometimes you’ll feel like you’re running out of steam but that’s normal during the first few days.

I lifted nearly daily on a 14 day (call it 5-6 times per week) fast.

Just be smart and listen to your body.
