700 Day Zero streak, I want to say thank you

When I started at Day 1, I never anticipated this would be a lifestyle change for me. I started at the end of March 2020, 333 pounds was my high point as a 32 year old male 6 feet tall. I started getting really nervous about Covid and I wanted to get healthy.

It was hard at first. The Zero app was 100% the only reason I could stick with it. It really gamified the process for me. Around July, I started a Ketogenic diet. Removing carbs helped my binge eating during my window. It is difficult sometimes but the health benefits outweigh me wanting to eat carbs.

As far as time windows, I started at 16:8 then moved to 18:6 and finally 20:4. There were some days I defaulted back to 16:8 (vacations, certain weekends). I use that as my starting point. I prefer doing 20:4 when I can.

I am not sure how long I’ll continue Keto but I do think I will be doing IF for the long term.

I’ve been dreaming about this 700 milestone and I wanted to post here. Between this subreddit and Zero, I couldn’t have done it. Thank you.

Keep going. Chances are it will become so ingrained that you’ll never want to change. I started OMAD 5 years ago, weighing just over 350. I lost 180 pounds. After the weight was gone I found I didn’t want to change anything. I’ve been doing OMAD ever since and will never change back. I’m currently at 170 pounds.Good luck. For a lasting change you need to change your lifestyle and by the sound of it I think you’ve done it.Congrats
