72hr dry fast! Question?

Hello!

Right now, I am 74hrs dry fasted! And honestly feel much, much better than I expected to feel!

Im dry fasting primarily for weight loss but also to heal scars and quite strong skin issues that I’ve had since I was a child.

I’ve lost 3.5 kilos in these 3 days, and my skin has 75% healed, even with really really deep scars I’ve had as a child.

Water fasting helped me cure my numerous illnesses, and lose over 60 kilos, however I feel like dry fasting is incredibly more powerful!

My question is what I should do from here? I want to continue with my rolling 72hr dry fasts until I lose around 10-15 kilos. Should I try to make it a 5 day dry fast? Or should I break it now?

And if I do decide to break it, should I water fast afterwards, or break it with a meal straight away?

Answer

Ideally you should stop now to not enter into full acidosis. Otherwise you’ll want to be 7 days in dry for the full cycle.Don’t do a meal straight away. First, replenish electrolytes with magnesium, potassium and sodium supplements to avoid refeeding syndrome. First day do liquids, broths. Second day boiled/steamed veggies. No sugar, carbs or anything that increases your glycemic index at least for the same length than the fast.

The only point for lost weight with dry fasting it’s reducing the size of the stomach. (Because all the weight you are losing it’s basically your body water reserves; which will regain immediately once you start drinking). But the stomach gets smaller so you need to eat less to feel satisfied. Use that to keep your weight down. Smaller portions, better ingredients.
