96 hours in and low blood sugar?

2.7mmol/48mg/dl right now. My normal range is on the lower end, too, just to say (4.1-4.4 or 94-100)

I seem to recall someone somewhere mentioning under 2.8/50 is dangerous while fasting but not sure on the accuracy. I do feel fine outside of some clammy hands. Does anyone have some good information or studies on the effects of blood sugar levels and fasting and what I should actually be concerned about?

Answer

Your blood sugar will get low when fasting. Low blood sugar is dangerous because when you take insulin to force it down you then have no energy source. When you are fasting you should produce key tones which effectively replace your glucose.
