What you do between Christmas and New Year’s does not matter as compared to what you do between new year’s and Christmas! Take time to enjoy and have fun with friends and family, that will only put you in a happier place to begin the new year with the right mindset.
Happy holidays!
Such a wholesome post and so ideal on this sub. Eating is a big part of the holidays. It’s the one time you can let loose with your family and not impose “self isolation”.
Nobody said eat half a pie or a quart of ice cream either but please try some.
Agreed, it’s just a week, there are another 51 to get things right. I can’t do any extended fasting until January anyway because I just got my booster on the 19th, but then it’s a month of rolling 72’s. Then a month of OMAD and weights so I’ll hopefully look like a sex machine before my next birthday.
I think this post (or rather the message implied in it) carries importance. Based on the situation that we find ourselves in, we can cut ourselves some slack. Depending on what we go through it may be more or less (or sometimes none at all), but what it means that if you have a goal in mind like getting your weight under control or just improving your health, having one or two meals may not be harmful at all.
I know that some people will not allow themselves to indulge and that’s totally fine because for them the damage is greater than for the others, but if you’re one of those people who has a priority to spend quality time with family, enjoy life’s gifts, slowing your progress slightly by a couple of meals may not mean a lot in the bigger picture; thus, you can let yourself slack a little.
What I do between Christmas and New Years certainly matters when its the brief moment of break I’ve been given from my webdev bootcamp to catch up and get comfortable with React CRUD applications. Lol.
But the post is well intended and I certainly wish everyone a happy holidays
That all said, I return to my normal diet this week so it doesn’t feel like some new years resolution that gets forgotten by February.
