A question about snake juice.

So, I recently started doing the snake diet a few days ago. I lost 2kg at the end of my first 48 hours. But man did I go to the bathroom a lot. Mostly going to piss but several soft stool dumps a day as well (I know TMI) Anyway. It’s the first time in my life that I’ve gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to go piss more than once. I checked my glucose levels and it was fine. I wanted to make sure my blood sugar wasn’t high and my body wasn’t just trying to piss away extra glucose. It wasn’t that. So I’m wondering if the combination of salts in the snake juice acts like a water pill and makes you get rid of the excess water weight? Thanks in advance.

Answer

If you go straight from eating carbs to fasting, your body dumps a lot of fluid. Basically your body can store ~300 - 400 grams of glucose. Each gram of glucose has several (4?) grams of water. When you start fasting, your body mostly burns glucose at first. As you burn the glucose, you dump the water and pee a lot.

The soft stools could be cause by the type of magnesium you’re adding to your snake juice. I found the snake juice make my digestive system feel off. Now instead I use Redmond Re-Lyte electrolyte mix. It’s more expensive than making your own snake juice, but works much better for me.
