Accountability- Dry Fast

I’ve done many shorter dry fasts - longest was 98 hours. Also done multiple water only fasts - longest was 21 days.

I read in Filonov’s 20 Questions about combined fasts. He recommends a 4 day hard dry fast and then 10-12 day water fast. I would like to do a longer dry fast (soft) for 10-11 days and then finish up with a 21 day water only fast.

I am looking for healing as well as weight loss which is why the longer fasts. If I have to stop the dry, I will transfer into water fasting sooner and do it for longer.

Based on average losses, I will easily meet my goal and then some. Afterwards, do weekly 42 hour dry fasts as part of maintenance.

Current stats: female, 5’7”, 182.5 lbs (a bit of a carb binge 😔)

those are big goals. 8 day dry fast was my biggest and was very difficult. What is your current goal? how many kegs do you want to weigh? I did 4.5 day dry fast. then broke it, 2 meals over 2 days. Then another 4 day dry fast. I dropped 10 kegs in 10.5 days and am now at 90kegs for 6 foot 1 male ideal body weight for my mass.

There is nothing wrong with carbs despite what mainstream tell you.

In regards to carbs make sure they are resistant starch which feeds the gut microbiome. Eg potatoes, rice, beans, corn etc, You will be shocked at the weight you lose

Non resistant starch and real fruit not fake sugar. The fat will melt off you.

Remember the amount of times you spike your insulin is what is important in fat loss. Insulin can be spiked by sugar and protein despite what the mainstream advice tells you.

Good luck. First know what your goal weight is first. Then it will be easier to reach it. Good luck

This is interesting and something I will do if I could handle it. But lack of sleep alone is my drawback. I have just entered day 3 of my dry fast and will keep going till 4 of 5 and then switch to water fast for the final 2 days.

So will be keeping watch. The only question is why not just say 5 days dry and switch to 21 water.

Progress update - 48 hours of 264 (🤞)

Weight 174.6 -7.9lbs. I know it’s water. I should be in ketosis now and know it will slow down. It will be nice to know that weight loss going forward is fat. Yay!

I will check my blood ketone level later. My meter wasn’t working correctly earlier.

I wanted to drink water earlier, but was able to hold off. I had walked 3.5 miles and was thirsty afterwards, but am fine now. I will walk in the evening before bed tomorrow so I can avoid all that.
