Actinic Keratosis (ak) aka pre-cancerous skin lesion and fasting

I have a Actinic Keratosis (AK) pre-cancerous lesion on my arm. I am pursuing medical treatment with a dermatologist; however, he says the lower layers of my skin are damaged and I could end up with more pre-cancerous lesions. Would fasting heal my skin? Is there a recommended fasting protocol for this? I did a Google search and didn’t find anything conclusive.

Answer

The healing part of fasting is highly overrated IMO. There maybe something to it and from time to time you will have people claiming that fasting helped with some conditions but I wouldn’t count on it.

Personally, I would stick with the treatment that your doctor prescribes and if your doctor allows fasting you can try it but don’t get your hopes too high.

Answer

I doubt he or anyone else can tell you for sure if fasting would help. Maybe you could try your own experiment? I have some issues with keratin that seem to be helped by fasting. But even that help doesn’t happen in any way that seems predictable to me.
