I notice DR. Fung mostly recommends alternate day fasting such as fast for a period of 24or 36 hours every other day of the week. Somewhere I remember him saying eating once per day would cause a person to plateau. Anyone understand the science behind this? I would think eating once every 24 hours would be better than 24 hours every other day.
I’m not aware of Dr Fung ever having said that eating once per day would cause stalling. If you can find a source for that, I’d be very interested because it’s basically just 23/1 IF which is generally considered to be very effective. Otherwise if it’s just something you think you might remember, it’s probably not worth worrying about, as he does specifically recommend ADF.
Still confusing. Dr. Fung recommends on his 24 fast ADF as eat all day one day and only eat dinner the next. Not sure I see how this is better than 23/1 IF everyday. But apparently everyone agrees he recommends doing longer fasts occasionally.http://intensivedietarymanagement.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Fasting-Guidelines.pdf
