Advice for changing 16:8 hours?

Hi everyone, I’ve been following a 16:8 schedule and have been seeing results by staying mostly consistent within my eating time.

I’m a college student and I planned my eating schedule around my classes as I had morning classes this semester and allowed my eating time to be afterwards, from 3-11pm.

I’m graduating and unfortunately my classes for my final semester will be night time which is a stark difference from the schedule that I’ve set for the past 2ish months, soon to be 3.

I was wondering if anyone else has experience drastically changing their eating hours for 16:8, and if they had any issues sticking to the new plan and adjusting.

That’ll happen in January so I’ll hopefully have time to figure things out.

Answer

It will be a transition, but I believe an achievable one.

What would be your new eating hours?

Most people doing 16/8 eat noon to 8pm. That might work well with nighttime classes.

You could also stick with your 3PM eating window start time since you’re accustomed to that. Just complete your eating by class time. In essence eating a shorter window - maybe 18/6 or 20/4.

I do Omad, normally dinner. Eating a large meal before your classes every day might work too. OMAD is sort of the ultimate in flexibility. You just eat once a day - whatever time works.

Best times that work for me is 12-6pm. I’m a huge breakfast person so mornings are sometimes tough. I sometimes chew gum and drink black coffee which helps suppress my appetite. Sugar- free gum is a huge game changer . Good luck!
