Iam on my 6th day of water fasting to heal my systemic inflammation . Iam gonna break my fast tomorrow , so any advices to break my fast will be great thanks .
Something simple with electrolytes first, e.g. miso soup or bone broth. I usually then have something to help replenish my microbiome an hour or so later (e.g. sauerkraut or a small amount of Greek yogurt). Well done on your fast. Did you notice a difference re: inflammation?
I have done a few long term fasts with some people suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases. Go really easy on your gut…. Have some teas, a little honey, plain yogurt, maybe a light broth or soup for the first day, second day you can add some vegetables steamed. Wean yourself onto the difficult to digest foods. IGNORE ALL CRAVINGS.
The inflammation will not go away immediately, but remember that breaking the fast is as important as the fast itself. You will feel a difference in a few days
