Christmas and all its glorious meals is over, so its time to start up on some healthy living again. I’m a pretty big guy (120kg) and want to do a keto/low-carb diet combined with IF.
I have set up the following program:
Sun: 3 meals
Mon: Fast until Dinner (24h)
Tue: Lunch + dinner (18h)
Wed: Lunch + dinner (18h)
Thu: Lunch + dinner (18h)
Fri: Fast until Dinner (24h)
Sat: 3 meals
The thought behind it, is to keep 18h IF as the base, then have 2x 24h fasts in the week and eat 3 meals during the weekend, to avoid the body getting too used to the fasting.
Would you guys advice me to also do IF during the weekend, or do you have any other tips or advice?
Seems pretty reasonable. I did the same thing on the weekends and made the “off” days, but then I started saying to myself, just skip breakfast and do 16/8. Then I went a little longer and finally just went my regular 20 - 22 hours. I think anything you do though like you outlined is great.
