Ugh this is annoying. Guess I’ll just go for a longer fast as well as a smaller and healthier re-feed.
Edit: just realized I spelled weigh wrong 🤣🤣
A lot of things determine your weight : Water weight at the time when you started fast and when you ended it, eating high carbs during refeeding will store water in your body. You will have to just trust the process.
I would find that my body was on a 2-3 week delay. So I could do three weeks of 48 hr fasts with minimal results, get pissed off and then binge or go off plan and then lose weight at week 4 despite any damage I’d done. It’s the momentum that carries you and like a previous poster said try assessing the sum of your efforts over time, not just a week.
Good luck! :)
I think with fasting, it fixes your hormonal issues (hyperinsulinemia, leptin resistance) first before you start seeing significant drops in your weight… unless you are starting with a lot of inflammation water weight.
Like, I just did a 90 hour fast and I only lost about 4.5 lbs. And I expect to regain around 1 after eating today.
I think with a little more time and consistency, you’ll get those results.
Don’t lose hope, just keep going 💪🏻
Have you made any other changes to your diet, exercise routine or meds? For example, I’m beginning to suspect that Crestor is working against my weight loss efforts. I’m not losing as much when fasting as I used to before switching from Pravastatin to Crestor.
When I am on, let’s say, my ninth day of a water fast and I exercise 2500 worth of calories plus the usual 1250 calories that get used by staying alive and plus some more because I think a lot and thinking uses a lot of calories and plus I am having bowel movements which also contains calories. andBecause a pound of fat, which I am using for energy uses 3000 calories then I am pretty sure that I am losing weight. I Trust the process.
