I am on day 6 of a seven day fast and my allergies are gone.
I suspect that either my inflammation has reduced to the point where I can now do things like… breathe through my nose, or I have a previously unknown food intolerance that exacerbates my histamine response.
I’d like to do a reverse take on the low foodmap or elimination diet to see what my food triggers are, but I’m not finding a lot of resources specifically for a refeed.
Anyone try this or know where I can look?
I’m with you on this. My sweaty hands disappear on an extended fast. And there’s definitely some connection with my diet and all of that. I just started a 21 day fast and plan to sorta reintroduce things one at a time.
Can u explain further what type of info you are looking for?
The more I fast, the better my allergies get. When I first found fasting and was very successful, I even stopped allergy meds and nasal rinses. Up to a year after I stopped consistently fasting, unless I was around a known allergen, like a certain flower, I had no real issues.
You might have to get creative for yourself. Create a list of foods that most likely aren’t an issue and start with that. If you have symptoms return, you erred. If not start adding back foods each week until symptoms return.
I’m alergic to almost nothing and I experience the same thing. I can finally breath on EFs. Not to disuade you from checking for allergies.
