alternate day fasting and going over calorie amount

So I recently started occasionally tracking my calories during eating days, I average about 2500-3000 , I’m a 5 ft 21 year old woman. Today I went slightly over and am worried it may derail progress? Does anyone have experience with this?

Answer

Derail? Not physically. If you think you’ve “blown it”, that might derail you (a lot of people struggle with that). There’s no catastrophe in eating more than 3000 calories one time. The only danger lies in how we react to it.

You have not blown it.

Carry on like normal if that suits you but if you can’t just move on, then do some simple thing like fast half an longer on your next fast day to prove to yourself that you’re in control, everything’s on track, and you got this.
