Stick with it for a couple of weeks to a month and see what happens. Impatience is not compatible with any sustainable weight loss plan.
Weight fluctuates for many reasons. You didn’t gain 5 pounds of fat in a week.
Eating the same as before but in a smaller window won’t work for weight loss. You have to have an ongoing calorie deficit. That doesn’t mean a calorie deficit every single day.
I wouldn’t fret. Most things get worse right before getting better. It usually means you’re making an impact/change and the body notices and freaks out, so to speak.
I heard once, ‘it takes 21 days for your body to adjust to a change, and 3 days to revert back’.
Much luck to your adventure.
It’s been a week, give it some time and don’t look for quick fixes.
In, say, a month, if you’re still gaining, you’re eating at a caloric surplus. If you’re weight stays within the 195-203 lb range, you’re likely eating maintenance and will need to lower your calorie intake. If your weight goes down, you were just being impatient.
