If amino acids are the building blocks of protein, how can foods like apples contain so many amino acids but 0 g of dietary protein? No idea what I would google to get this answered…
Amino acids contain 4 cal per gram as all protein does however an apple has milligrams of your essential amino acids. Not nearly enough to make a full gram or even half a gram. The calories would be negligible.
