Any Advice weight loss vs fat loss?

I’ve recently gotten back into intermittent fasting, about 20-4 as I just don’t eat until I’ve come home from work. Issues maintaining that on the weekend.

The weight loss equation is easy, calories in vs calories out. My trainer was mentioning that fasting “too long” causes the body to store more calories as fat, and said that he personally had good results with two 11 hour fasts (basically only eat breakfast and dinner), so I was wondering if anyone has personal experiences or research they could share on the topic.

Focus on getting proper nutrition from mostly whole, unprocessed foods and the calories should mostly take care of themselves. It’s ok to reduce calories, but your body still has nutritional needs which need to be met.
