I have seen statements all over that exogenous ketone salts are supposed to bring you into ketosis faster, increase blood ketones, increase performance, improve general health and what not. But is there really any conclusive science behind it, or just a whole lot of stronng marketing?
I heard they are fantastic for treating migraines at the root. most migraine medication seems to simply cover up the pain, but MRIs reveal that the migraine is still going on.
From what I’ve heard, migraines tend to be an energy crisis in the brain where ATP is very low. This is supposedly caused by oxidative stress in the brains mitochondria.
Exogenous ketone salt seem to directly supply the brain with food, and stop the brain’s energy crisis in it’s tracks.
