I’m in my 30s and have been IF for about 1.5 years. My mom is in her early 60s and I’m trying to convince her to try. I hate watching her eat almost nothing and continue to put on weight, especially midsection. She was sucked into the low-day diet culture and has been fixated since I can remember. (Think Richard Simmons workouts in the living room! 😂)
Can anyone 55+ share your results? And also tips/tricks?? I just want her to be healthy and stick around for long enough to really enjoy her grandkids. Thanks!
I think Megan Ramos talks about how good IF is for women around that age, especially with hormones making you pile on the weight without you doing anything differently. She may also have really lowered her metabolism by eating so little so IF would help jump start it.
I’m turning 65 this years and I dropped 30 lbs a few years ago through IF. I’m not hard on myself and when I gain about 5 lbs on vacation I know it’s easy to come off when I get back home. I’m very active and was able to keep it off after being sidelined with major back surgery. I have two close friends that struggle with their weight ( they’re on weight watchers all the time). They’re terrified about being hungry, you really have to get out of your head.
