Answer

I have Hashimotos, but I’m properly medicated and my symptoms are minimal now. I fast 20:4 daily and have lost 18 pounds in ten weeks (I have fasted at least 14 hours EVERY day, but mostly 20–no days off). But even better, ALL my inflammation is gone. If your thyroid numbers are within range with meds and you are “mostly” symptom free, you are basically not hypothyroid anymore–it just requires meds to keep you in a normal range.

I know the struggle with hypothyroidism and that slow weight gain creep. NOTHING has worked before in my life, and then fasting came along and I could stick to it and I’m seeing results.

Answer

I have hypothyroidism. I did 20:4 (most days) some less some more but generally 20:4 from late August 2021 through Feb 2022 and lost about 45lbs which I haven’t gained back. I never had success with any other attempt at weight loss ever.

I also exercised regularly throughout and didn’t count calories or restrict my diet at all though I am a vegan.

Answer

yes. i’ve fasted off and on for the last 5 or so years. tbh i don’t have a method, i mostly just fast until i don’t feel like fasting anymore. sometimes i do omad, sometimes rolling 72s, just depends on how committed i’m feeling

Answer

Yes. I take ashwagandha instead of my prescriptions. Doctor gave me these instructions. Fasting does screw things up for me— if I forget to take a tablespoon of ashwagandha powder before bed or in the morning, I get weird. Eventually I’ll need to go to the prescriptions as I get older.
