Anyone doing 16:8 skip dinner instead of breakfast?

So I have done 16:8 as my general eating schedule for years now but I have always skipped breakfast and had a late lunch and dinner around 6 but I have been thinking of switching that up. Anyone else who has, have you noticed any difference in hunger or results?

Answer

I am trying that. I was also skipping breakfast but I want to switch and skip dinner. My thinking is that eating earlier in the day will give me more energy and more time to digest food. Plus i just really lobe eating in the morning with a cup of tea. Dont k ow why, i just do. Sorry that I don’t have any results to report on yet.

Answer

Skipping dinner has been really effective for me, more so than skipping brekkie I think because dinner typically tends to be a larger meal. Hunger wasn’t an issue one I got used to that schedule.

Plus, there’s no fussing over cooking food after getting home from work, more time to relax, and no dishes to clean! Love it 🙂

Answer

I skip dinner bc I don’t want to sleep before my digestive system finishes processing food. I also find that my hunger signals are strongest between 11am and 5pm, so I eat my meal (OMAD) sometime within that window, typically 2-3pm.

I recently switched to skipping dinner and find it much easier to stick to. I also work out right at the end of the window around 3-3:30 to burn off any small amount of carbs I had during the eating window. Only trouble is getting used to eating at 7am

Answer

Yes. This is the schedule I’ve mostly settled on. A bit shorter of a window, though. I work swing shift. At first (and for many months), I food-prepped, & packed a dinner to reheat at work. But, I’d come home and still be in my window, which opened the door for me to make poorer food choices (ie midnight snacks). I wasn’t gaining weight, but I wasn’t losing weight, either.

When I moved my window, everything changed. I now have a big lunch and start my fast around 3pm. I love that it eliminated me preparing (and schlepping) food to eat at work. And, I’ve been making better food choices, too. Now, on my dinner break, I get a coffee and read. It’s great.

Answer

I think it would be better / easier for me because often when I eat lunch it’s actually enough and I could even go for OMAD. But I keep having dinner most days because of social reasons, it’s when my partner eats (and cooks) and I just love having this end of the day ritual. But if you are flexible, give it a go!!

Answer

I always eat breakfast and skip dinner! Honestly would not recommend this schedule just for social reasons though. No one really cares if you skip breakfast but everyone gets upset if you don’t go to dinners and such. I tried switching it up and skipping breakfast, but I found the change was too challenging for me.
