Anyone else fasting on Christmas day?

Being doing IF for almost 2 years now, occasionally switching to OMAD/warrior diet when need be. My eating window is normally 1 PM to 9 PM. On Christmas, my family normally put on a huge breakfast in which I’ve (over) indulged in previous years and thrown IF to the wayside. However, this year I’m planning to stick to my one cup of black coffee. Whatever happens after 1 happens, but this way I think I’ll avoid crashing at midday like I always do.

My family are pretty indifferent to my fasting so they won’t care to pressure me to have breakfast either.

How about you guys?

Na man, I indulge during the holidays. A few off days won’t break a lifestyle. I personally need the breaks for my own mental health. And recently they’ve been revving up my metabolism. Good luck to you though!

I’ll have a break for the 24th and the 25th of December just in case I want to indulge. I bought loads of cheese 😅 Since starting IF 5 months ago I can’t eat too much food even if I want to. But also I’ll be on my own for Xmas (toxic family) so is up to me really if I feel like fasting or not. Now I really can’t eat and have no desire to eat past 2pm most days even if I tried

I’m incorporating it somewhat - I have a big feast planned for the afternoon, so I need to save my appetite for that, and will delay the first meal as long as possible as a result. Say around midday I’m going to bust out the snacks and mimosa’s while I get cooking a delicious organic stuffed turkey crown, roast potatoes and all the trimmings. And after, a cheese plate and red wine to break my digestive system permanently. After which I won’t be able to fit anything else in, during the evening. So, to answer your question, sort of?

I am planning on fasting on Christmas Day.

I started my fast Wednesday night (tonight) and plan on going until Christmas Eve night. Family will have a get together on that night. I am going to bring a big salad and have what ever meat they serve Christmas Eve. I do OMAD keto on my refeeds.

The other family will do something on Christmas Day food wise. I would like to fast that day. They are planning to eat around 1 pm. I had a bit of a stall around Thanksgiving so I wasn’t looking forward to another stall so close to my goal weight.

My plan is I will fast Christmas Eve night after my meal until Sunday night and have an OMAD keto meal on Sunday night. Then start a 72 hour fast until the next Wednesday.

I do like that I will be able to change my fasting time around a bit this week. I am curious to see what happens actually.

Hi. 16:8 is what I (F, 39, 5’2”, 118lbs) have in mind until Dec 31. But will enjoy whatever is on the table, although will still be conscious about total calories. Afterwards, will continue with my type O meal plan, restart 19:5 for days then shift to OMAD. Happy Holidays!

Answer

I’m going to a Christmas party on Christmas Eve but I will just be at home alone for Christmas day so I plan to fast, then resume my OMAD at 5 pm on Sunday. It’ll be my first time going for a 40+ hour fast.
