Anyone else sleepwalk to the kitchen at 3a.m for a bowl of cereal?

I don’t even like cereal-I don’t know what’s wrong with me!? I’m only doing daily 16 hour fasts. I can’t just not buy cereal because we have 3 kids in the house who love it. But inevitably, at some point in the morning it comes back to me that I got up and made a heaping bowl of cereal, ate it, and stumbled back to bed. And when it happens, I completely blow my fast. Maybe I’ll lock them up with a combination lock that I won’t be able to solve while mostly asleep.

I was a competitive boxer when I was younger and was always governed by weight. I also used to sleepwalk and eat cereal during the night! The only way I could combat this was to padlock the cupboard and tell me girlfriend to hide the key

Ahh…

So I had the same problem. I started stashing almonds. So if I wake up in the night, somehow would force myself to have a few almonds. While this breaks a fast, it most certainly isnt a carb heavy thing like cereal, and frankly it helped me get through times where I otherwise would be eating junk food.

I know it’s not suggested, but look- it’s a Marathon not a sprint. The more healthy options I can choose, the better it is. (I just got back on the bandwagon and I’m down 12lbs in 2-3 months).
