Anyone had fasting after only 24 hours?

*Mistake - title is supposed to say anyone had pins and needles after only 24 hours*

I started a fast yesterday, and right now I have pins and needles in my toes that isn’t going away when I move them or jog around. Details that might be relevant:

-My diet last few days has been low carb to prepare, although I had two pieces of toast one morning so probably not keto levels of low

-I’ve done a bunch of 36 hour fasts in the last two months, maybe 3 of them

-I’ve drunk some Junp electrolytes, but they’re low on sodium and potassium (4% of daily per serving)

-It is very cold here and I had a cold shower, but I assume because it isn’t going away that isn’t relevant

I wouldn’t have thought electrolytes would be an issue after only 24 hours. I’ve put some nosalt in water and am sipping, but don’t wanna swig it due to the dreaded laxative effect. I’ve also done a 4 day fast with only electrolytes on 3rd and 4th days (long time ago) so this seems unusual.

Any ideas? Stop the fast to be safe?

Answer

When i started fasting i had a lot of strange feelings (not necessary painful, but strange, unusual) in my back, jaw, muscles. Literally like my body was changing/ rebuilding/ fixing something. Later it never occured to the same degree (or perhaps i got used to it).

Answer

I usually start to have tingly feeling on my stomach around 6 days in, never had tingly toes though. Electrolyte can be an issue any time in the fast. If you were close to deficiency (or already deficient) when you started your fast you could have gone too low.
Also you were low carb not keto, it could be that entering ketosis this time was harder on your body.
