Anyone has any experience recovering from Covid symptoms by fasting?

Especially sense of smell. My smell has been coming back very slowly for some weeks now and I felt like it was much better after a 30 hr fast but I still have a long way to go.

I’d love to know if anyone else noticed a difference or if I’m just delusional

Answer

Keep in mind that the way fasting to strengthens your immune system is by killing it off while you fast and replacing the dead immune cells when you eat. I am not sure that while you are sick would be the best time for that. If ketosis helps, I world lean towards getting into ketosis by eating fat / avoiding carbs.

Answer

There’s definitely research out now showing the benefit of ketosis on COVID recovery.

It doesn’t differentiate between nutritional or starvation ketosis but one would expect it not to matter either way.

Answer

Yes. I’d do intermittent fasting anyway and dutung Covid I could hardly eat with all that nausea and fever etc. A 48 hour fast made my sore throat completely disappear and I could finally cry while cutting onions. But I did this fast in close to about the 2 month mark — I had it in 2020 when Covid symptoms would go on and on.
