Hi all! I’ve been looking at adding a greens drink to my diet. Does anyone have experience they would like to share? Is it worth it and did you see results (both in how you feel and changes in metabolic markers)? I’m combating pre-diabetes and high cholesterol (not weight loss) and looking to use any tools I can. I currently take a Vitamin D supplement (love those gray winter days) and multi-vitamin. I eat a fresh spinach salad most days along with a small bowl of fruit when I break my fast. Normally I do 16/8 minimum. I exercise daily but not a heavy workout. Any feedback is appreciated!
If you’re eating a varied diet you don’t need those green drinks. There’s a big push to market them right now and one is even rebranding to sound more sciency. You absolutely do not need to be spending hundreds of dollars on this stuff. The best thing you can do for your health is to work on the nutrients you get from whole foods. Use supplements to fill in any gaps once you’ve addressed other lifestyle issues.
If these products were necessary there wouldn’t be an army of YouTubers and podcasters being paid a fortune to push them at every opportunity.
The majority of people benefit the most from free lifestyle changes. If your diet is high in processed foods, you’re drinking alcohol, carrying excess fat, not moving your body etc. you’ll benefit far more from addressing these things than you will by following the advice of podcasters paid to sell you lists of supplements.
