Anyone want to do a fast with me and keep ourselves accountable?

I am honestly tired of being fat and I know I have a lot of fat to lose so I can go on a long fast. I literally wanna do 70 days.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me I’m addicted to food and junk and being lazy. I am female 5’6 and 185. Not ideal. I feel like crap about myself and I’m done with it. I really don’t have a goal weight I just wanna see where it gets me. It’s hard to do it alone so if anyone wants to help each other out and talk about our cravings and motivate each other to not give up

I would say that a long fast like that would not be as beneficial as shorter fasts that afford you the opportunity to deal with the real issue, your relationship with food. Because that is fundamentally your problem long fasting will actually get in the way of progress.

By the numbers: Start with the grown up fast: 3 meals a day, 0 calories between meals, 0 calories between dinner and breakfast. That’s it.

Then start cleaning your diet. Say no to junk food.

And then IF fast. You should be looking forward to eating as much as you look to fasting. The fasting portion works on your fast, the eating portion works on your relationship with food. A sane and healthy relationship with food starts with embracing food in a way that nourishes you, not one that makes you feel bad.

Hey, this sounds like a great idea. How are you organizing this? Also, have you fasted before? Maybe try intermittent fasting or OMAD if it’s your first time? I’ve never faster before, otherwise I would be down. 70 days sounds like a lot. Jesus did 40 days and that seems like a stretch (for me).

wow! that is very ambitious! have you done extended fasts before? 70 days seems really extreme, not gonna lie. i would absolutely recommend you do this under medical supervision. i dont know that you have enough fat at 185 5’6 to last 70 days, what about a 7 day fast instead? what’s your electrolyte plan? (i am always curious of other’s regimen while fasting and get great ideas - not here to judge) regardless of what you do, good luck! wishing you the best

ETA just saw one of your comments that you’re an experienced extended faster…still 70 days seems like a lot! what about 14 days & then OMAD or something?
