Did rolling 6-10 days with 3 day refeed for the last two months and am currently on day 7 of a 25 day fast.
Good things:
- I did loose some weight
- Have no loose skin.
- Generally, I am feeling quite alright and I’am able to function as usual.
- No hunger at all, never.
- Saved some bucks on food.
Neutral:
- The increased mind capacity is from my experience not really noticeable and probably more of an placebo effect. However, it didn’t decreased either.
- My skin hasn’t noticeably improved, but I also never had issues with acne or anything.
Negative:
- It’s becoming more and more draining. I’m currently at a point where I really want to get done with it and not fast for at least a couple months, however I‘m still determined to finish this 25 days and then transition into maintaining / lean bulking since the process is clearly working.
- My sleep quality is awful, I‘m really desperate for some 8hrs of uninterrupted quality sleep.
- I have lost some hair thickness and my bold spots got slightly larger. I going to check with my skin doc tomorrow and hope it gets back to normal after this fast.
- Although I‘m not feeling hungry at all anymore, I got some heavy cravings and it really requires a ton of self control to not give in.
- I noticed that I tend to slightly overeat on refeeding days lately.
- Attending social events is quite hard especially if food is involved. Some people have some strong opinions against fasting and you might get treated as an outlier at times, but that’s not too bad since I don’t really care.
- Non of my pants fits me anymore.

Fasted for as long as 16 days and just finished a 10 day fast…
PROS: Weight loss, my skin looks glowing after a few days, save time and money buying and preparing food and I tend to crave healthier food after fasting.
CONS: The worst thing for me is the taste in my mouth. I find it harder to deal with than anything else and I feel self conscious that I might have bad breath all the time!
Answer
Cons: I’m already thin so I look really unattractive after about a week. My sense of smell gets stronger. And I get less sleep.
Pros: My body fixes the problems that made me start fasting and I feel better.
