Appetite Change

So I’ve been doing IF for the past 4 months now and I’ve lost only 4 kgs of weight, steadily, but I can no longer eat the same amounts of food like I used to and I feel full much faster. Is that common?

Answer

Congratulations! Weightloss is weightloss and if you ask me, the longer you keep at IF the better your body will get at burning fat. Build up those fat burning enzymes! And really the appetite change or “appetite correction” is part of the beauty of IF. The bigger appetite was likely a result of possible poorer nutrition if you ate a lot of processed foods that notoriously trigger more hunger. This ability to eat less and feel full leads people to make more nutritious food choices that are “window worthy.” What you’re experiencing is totally normal. Congrats!!
