Answer

You can wash the outside of your fruit. But the purpose is not to wash pesticides, it’s to get rid of any harmful bacteria that it could have been exposed to, or any dirt, etc., since the produce made its way from the farm, to a the truck, to the store, handled by multiple people in the process

You’re not really going to find commercially grown fruit without pesticides, and if the choice is between eating Walmart produce versus paying 10 times more, you’re better off simply just eating the Walmart produce and rinsing it as you normally would

In general, please don’t let anyone scare you into spending more money on produce. The produce you get at Walmart is going to be the same produce you get in many other places. Go with what you can afford.

Answer

Supposedly some pesticides are specifically designed to soak into fruits and vegetables. So there probably is pesticide on the inside as well.

I’d follow a youtube guide on making a home produce wash out of vinegar / baking soda or any other ingredient besides plain water, and I would soak your vegetables in that AFTER cutting them.

I don’t know how deep these pesticides go. Glyphosate, for example, is impossible to wash off fruits, vegetables, or grains. It 100% ends up in your body.

Your best bet is to buy organic and soak and scrub your vegetables as well as possible.
