This is the product:
Maybe but without any knowledge of the nutrition label, who knows.
At the very least, whole wheat tortillas tend to not be bad for you (there’s no such thing as bad food, but there is such thing as a bad dietary habit).
Ok. Here’s my two cents worth.
Wheat, especially modern processed wheat, is not actually all that healthy for you. And whole wheat flour is just a little less bad than plain white flour.
This “whole wheat bread” isn’t made from the whole wheat berry being low temperature ground, which would be a great deal better nutritionally.
The whole wheat berry is ground, then the best part of the berry, the germ is removed. That is an advantage to the processor because the germ contains some oils that will go rancid fairly quickly. Removing the germ and other roughage from the shell leaves nothing but the starch, which has a much longer shelf life.
And these flours are ground fast, creating a lot of heat, which further degrades the end product.
So the high temperature ground starch flour is then “converted” back to the regulatorily accepted definition of “whole wheat” by the processor by adding back some of the roughage that was removed from it during the initial part of the process.
So, if you take fresh whole wheat berries grown in nutrient rich soils and low temperature grind the entire berry and bake it properly and make it a small part of your diet, it’s probably not gonna cause too many health problems.
Eating large amounts of high temperature ground white starchy flour based breads with a bit of the roughage thrown in for coloring and texture, you will probably be better without.
They look okay, I’d just say variety it key. One thing to note is that they contain hydrogenated vegetable Oil, that’s ingredient some people would choose to avoid how ever I’m not educated to speak on the matter.
