At what point did you move from 16:8 to 18:6?

Did you do 16:8 for a few months and then bumped it up? Do you do 16:8 some days and 18:6 other days within the same week?

Answer

Yeah I sort of naturally started gravitating towards slightly longer fasts as the months went by. I would just push it a little longer depending on how I was feeling that day. Sometimes that was 20 or even OMAD sometimes still 16.

These days I do a mix throughout the week.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. My first fast was a strict 16:8. Then the days after I pushed it to 19:5 without much of an issue. The longest fast was 20:4 and I felt totally fine by the time I sat down to eat.

Answer

Pretty much instantly. Realised I was easily able to do 16:8, so decided to change it up to 18:6 - which suited me better. I did a 24 hour fast on Monday, and am looking to do one of those at the start of each week now.

Answer

Just do what works for you. Whether that is 12:12 to start (yep, for some folks here just getting to 12:12 is a change), 14:10, whatever. If you do 16:8 for a while there will come a point where you’re looking at the clock and saying, “Oh, I can eat now…but I’m not hungry” and then you will have answered the question for yourself.

Answer

I don’t know about you guys but for me, after 2 weeks of 16:8 I was pretty much ready for OMAD. I just realised that my body did not like breakfast and didnt really care much for lunch. I have one of those bodies thats been conditioned to eat big dinners so after doing two weeks of 16:8 it was super easy for me to wait for dinner and just have a single meal :D
