I’ve been doing 16/8 for a week and plan on eventually getting to 20/4. I was thinking I would reduce my window by 30 minutes every week, but would like to get input from others.
I just moved to 20:4 when I wasn’t hungry at my normal “breakfast” time. I just kept waiting to see how long I could go before I decided it was time to eat. So I ended up doing it all last week, but I was having some digestive issues yesterday so I decided to do an 18:6 today to see if splitting up my food a little more would help. But I’ll probably go back to a 20:4 this week again.
My point is, just ease into it, but allow yourself the flexibility of moving in and out of that schedule if need be.
18:6 for a few months. (Result of doing Keto)
20:4 for a few years. (aka Warrior diet)
23:1 for many years.
50/50 mix of periods on 23:1 and periods on 47:1
Did 47:1 nearly exclusively since May 🙌🏻🙇🏻♀️
I started with 16:8 and dabbled my way up to OMAD-ish over the weeks and months. I feel like it was never a conscious forced choice, just did what felt right at the time as long as I wasn’t shortening fast.
But ultimately found I made more consistent progress and supported my other goals better to return to 16:8. So it’s not always about just going in one direction either.
