I’m on day 3 of a dry fast and pretty much always do a salt water flush the day before I begin. I agree that it makes it much smoother of a transition into fasting for me. I drink 2 teaspoons Himalayan sea salt in 2 quarts of room temp water and it works usually within half an hour for me. It is definitely not a pleasant experience. No pain for me but it serves it’s cleansing purpose if you get my drift. Usually lasts about an hour or so. Don’t leave close proximity of a bathroom. I always drink lots of water afterwards to rehydrate before I start my fast. Take my electrolytes and 1/2 tsp of baking soda in water before I go to bed to start my dry fast. The only thing I’ve read is that the flush may make you lose a lot of electrolytes so not great before fasting, but I haven’t had a problem. I’ll flush again a few days after stopping dry fast and into my water fast
